Held during National Careers Week, the event brought together a mix of national and local employers and organisations, giving students the chance to explore different industries and hear first-hand about a variety of career journeys.
For Hunterlodge, it was an opportunity to introduce students to the world of advertising and highlight the many roles involved in bringing campaigns to life – from creative and strategy to digital, media and client services.
Students were encouraged to ask questions and start conversations using “conversation starter” prompts, helping them build confidence while learning more about the industries that interest them.
Supporting local young people as they begin to explore their future careers is something Hunterlodge is passionate about. Alongside events like the RMS Futures’ Fair, the agency regularly works with local schools through initiatives such as Advertising Unlocked, where we open our doors to give students a behind-the-scenes look at how advertising works.
Events like this are a great way to initiate conversations about the industry and the various pathways into it. If you’re interested in finding out more about a career in advertising, get in touch with the Hunterlodge team kim.mclellan@hunterlodge.co.uk
